Kit Harington Still Says Jon Snow is Dead

Really?

Why did they have to put Jon Snow on the first poster for the new season of Game of Thrones? Do they want to cheapen his return or what?

I mean you can’t reasonably expect him to say anything else. But it’s still frustrating that Kit Harington gets put in the position where he has to assure us that Jon Snow is dead, despite mounting evidence to the contrary.

It could be seen as even more evidence that he was coming back that Kit Harington has been avoiding press during the months following the Game of Thrones Season 5 finale. If Jon Snow was really dead, why try to avoid inevitable questions about him coming back, when you could confidently, honestly say no?

“I’ve just hit the ground and gone undercover,” he said. “I’ve tried to do absolutely no press for anything.” But he does admit that viewers’ reactions were pretty much exactly what they were hoping for. “I was hoping that there would be an outcry of ‘why?’ and ‘oh god, no, no’ rather than ‘thank god,’” he said. “That was the right reaction as far as I was concerned! People didn’t want me to die, but he’s dead. So there you go, everyone has to get used to it.”

On the other hand, Harington has been talking about enjoying his time off and preparing for other roles like Doctor Faustus.
