It’s that time of year, ladies and gentleman. The Strong Museum of Play’s World Video Game Hall of Fame 2017 finalists have been announced, and they included a wide variety of games, ranging from beloved RPGs and fighting games to…..Solitaire. Yeah.

Much like the previous two years, the list of 12 finalist were narrowed down from a numerous game submissions, but in the end, only a handful of games will be able to inducted into the Hall of Fame this year. And now, without further ado, here are your 2017 Video Game Hall of Fame Finalists:

  • Donkey Kong
  • Final Fantasy VII
  • Halo: Combat Evolved
  • Microsoft Windows Solitaire
  • Mortal Kombat
  • Myst
  • Pokémon Red and Green
  • Portal
  • Resident Evil
  • Street Fighter II
  • Tomb Raider
  • Wii Sports

You can go to the Hall of Fame’s official website to vote on which of the finalists will be inducted (which closes on May 4th at 10:30 AM), check out the previous inductees (which include the original Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros.Grand Theft Auto III, and Doom), and even nominate games that you’d like to see in 2018. Unlike the last two years where the choice was pretty easy for me, this year is going to be a lot tougher, since there are so many games on here that easily deserve to win. I could go for nostalgia and pick Pokemon, but at the same time there’s no denying the impact of games like Street Fighter II and Final Fantasy VII, or even Wii Sports. Decisions, decisions!
