A first look was given at the 2016 Halo World Championship to the new cooperative game mode coming to Halo 5: Guardians. The new mode, called Warzone Firefight, will put 8 players together for 5 rounds of completing different objectives and fighting off A.I enemies that increase in difficulty each round.
Players will be able to use their own weapons, armor, vehicles, and power-ups in Warzone Firefight and players will have to work together to complete objectives and make it through each round. A new trailer has been released for Warzone Firefight and can be seen below.
Microsoft recently spoke in a blog post about Warzone Firefight and said, “Warzone Firefight will feature more enemies than ever–including a brand new tier of “Mythic” enemy bosses. Thought the Warden Eternal was menacing? You ain’t seen nothing yet. Warzone Firefight features the most on-screen enemies in the history of the franchise, making for frantic and exhilarating matches.” The mode was also described as “the biggest Halo cooperative experience ever in franchise history”. The new mode will always put the players against hordes of A.I grunts meaning that players will never be fighting against one another and will survive only if they work together to hold off the waves of enemies and complete objectives.
Warzone Firefight will launch in the Summer 2016 and Halo 5:Guardians is available now for the Xbox One.
