Another day, another handful of games being added to the Xbox One’s backwards compatibility program. This time it’s two excellent shooters that are all about geometry.
I’m of course referring to the two 360 titles Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2, and Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions, both of which are now playable on the Xbox One. The news once again comes from Xbox’s Major Nelson, who made the announcement earlier today on Twitter. If you already own each of these games, they’ll show up in your library. If you don’t, you can buy them on the Xbox Marketplace, with Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 costing $10, while Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions is only $15. Both are excellent games that I highly recommend, especially of you’re a fan of old school arcade shooters.
The two games join Dead Space 2 and 3, which were added last week, as well as four of the Cabela hunting games. It’s nice to see Microsoft constantly add 360 games that many Xbox One owners may have missed out on.
