Five new games have been added to the Xbox One’s backwards compatibility list. While there’s one huge game being added, all five games are excellent in their own right.
The news comes from Major Nelson himself, who announced on Twitter that five Xbox 360 games were being added. These games are Assassin’s Creed III, Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond, Shadow Assault: Tenchu, Ilomilo, and Shinobi. While Assassin’s Creed III is easily the big game (even if I personally wasn’t a fan of it and it ultimately killed off what interest I had in the series), all four of the games included are definitely worth checking out, especially Shinobi.
If you own any of these games digitally, you can download them to your library, and if you own a physical copy of Assassin’s Creed III you can just pop the disk in and play it. Hopefully we’ll see some more games in the series being added to backwards compatibility down the road.
