In news that might upset a fair number of people, it was revealed today that Halo 5: Guardians will not have a multiplayer map voting system. Instead, the game will incorporate a forced rotation.
@GDO_TWITS No voting or veto, just straight rotation.

The news came via 343 Studios Head Josh Holmes who replied to a fan question over on Twitter concerning how map rotation will work in Halo 5, by saying “no voting or veto, just straight rotation”. Previous games in the series had map voting, but the problem was that the most popular maps would get voted on and played, while the least popular ones were left by the wayside. While this might be seen as a way to make sure all maps are played equally, I imagine this is still disappointing news for many fans of the Halo series who wanted to vote for their favorites.
Halo 5: Guardians will release on October 27th of this year exclusively for the Xbox One.
