The final season of True Blood will be airing next month and there is so much to tease in the coming weeks. When we last left Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), the vampires had just left the vamp camps and were frolicking about freely. Those infected with Hep V are, sadly, no longer around. Sookie was in a relationship with Alcide, which left Bill and Eric doing whatever they pleased. The seventh and final season of True Blood last season plans on being one of the most epic series finales out there and with a new season, comes a new cast.
Gus, played by Will Yun Lee is described to be a Texas-based Japanese businessman, with a “bigger-than-life, urban cowboy demeanour that nearly rivals the size of his large Stetsons.” Oh, just for the ladies!
There is also a new villain arriving in Bon Temps to make everyone’s lives miserable. Will Sookie even survive this last baddie? This new guy is titled as ‘The Figure’ and is “Scary, hulking, ugly, mean, and crafty…like Leatherface or Jason Voorhees, but this guy talks.” Ugh, I’m running now.
The season will also have a few flashbacks and a special episode helmed by Stephen Moyer, aka Bill, himself. The episode will be 701 – “Jesus Gonna Be Here”. Sookie and Tara will be ten-years old in their flash back and another will be in 1862, just three years before Bill was turned to a vampire and when his life included his wife Sarah and daughter Caroline.
The season is also said to have a flashback focusing mainly on Tara and her childhood with Joe, a “scary, abusive drunk of a father.”
True Blood will return for its final season premiere on Sunday, June 22, 2014. Since waiting sucks, we’ve included two season 7 teasers below:
