Bay’s “Ninja Turtles” Finds its Heroes in a Half Shell!

Michael Bay has received quite a bit of backlash because of his upcoming “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” reboot. Despite this, the film has gone forward with casting. So who is playing the heroes? Well, none of the actors are particularly well-known. The turtles have been cast as follows.

Alan Ritchson from “Blue Mountain State” was announced as Raphael last week. This morning it was confirmed that newcomer Pete Ploszek would play Leoonardo. Jeremy Howard will play Donatello, and Noel Fischer will play Michaelangelo.

Besides Pete Ploszek, these actors have appeared in smaller roles in both film and television. It could be a wise strategy for the filmmakers to go for smaller name actors, so as not to distract from the characters. It is also worth noting that Megan Fox is set to star as April O’Neil, having recently settled her dispute with director Michael Bay.
