Crytek Aims to Buy Darksiders License

Despite not having an interest in Darksiders 3 presently, Crytek USA still wants the license. With the company now being headed by former Vigil boss David Adams the desire doesn’t come at much of a surprise.

Adam’s tweeted yesterday morning that he was, “Going to bid on Darksiders IP. Put 7 years of heart and soul into that franchise, and I think it belongs at home with its creators.” The tweet has already received positive feedback from fans, which is good news for Crytek USA.

Co-founder of Vigil Ryan Steffanelli further confirmed Crytek’s intentions in regards to the license. ”When the Darksiders IP goes up for auction, Crytek will be bidding for it,” Steffanelli said. “Not much more to say since the rest is left up to courts and legal shenanigans, but we’re all excited at the prospect.”

Hopefully with the license back in the hands of those who truly love the game, the Darksiders series will finally get what fans believed it deserved.
