New Xbox Live Indie Game Gets Heavy Metal Soundtrack

Nocturnal Studio released their first title for Microsoft’s Xbox Live Indie Games service called Death Goat. This game is a blood bath, twin stick shooter that has hordes of enemies and an awesome heavy metal experience. Death Goat features music by Ovid’s Withering, Lorelei, Immortal Guardian, Konkeror, Vanisher, Holy Grail, God Forbid, and Between the Buried and Me.

The creative director for Death Goat was quoted, saying “Music has always been an important part of the gaming experience for use. We assembled a mix of both signed and unsigned artists for this game and the intention of introducing some amazing music in an addictive arcade game to new fans.” It’s nice that some creative directors remember that music in a game can be just as important as the story when it comes to the atmosphere and tone of a game.
