After the overwhelming amount of requests received after the announcement of Terraria coming to the PlayStation 3, 505 Games, Engine Software, and Re-Logic have decided to team up once again and bring Terraria to the PS Vita!

The sandbox adventure game seemed like a great match for the PS Vita seeing as it’s a great way to explore platform games with features it has – such as the touch controls, dual analog sticks, and display.

Terraria was originally released on the PC two years ago, and since has gathered a sizable following, as well as sold over two million copies. Since it is a sandbox game, the possibilities are almost endless. There are over a dozen of blocks that can be used for building, and gamers can craft hundreds of items.

Similar to titles like Minecraft and Metroid, Terraria centers on creating adventure for yourself as you explore through worlds that are generated at random. Players also take on monsters, and bosses as you venture through each area. The farther you progress, the better your ores are which means better weapons, and armor. Multiplayer allows gamers to team up with, or fight against up to eight of their friends, and allows gamers to track their progress on the leaderboards as they wish.

With the success of the game on other platforms, there’s no doubt that gamers will soon be playing Terraria day in, and day out while they’re on the go.
