OUYA Launching Today with 55 Available Games!

While the official retail launch of the OUYA console won’t be until June, the tiny open-source system will be shipping to it’s Kickstarter backers this evening! On top of that, anonymous sources have been stating that there will be up to 55 available games at launch for the OUYA, with the possibility of hundreds more being ready by the time the game is available to us non-Kickstarters. To put that in perspective, the Xbox 360 launched with roughly 18 available games in North America.

While we don’t have access to a full list of games, a few of the anonymous sources have cited the following titles as appearing on the OUYA store during its random up-times over the last few days.

• Gunslugs
• Pingo
• Highway Rally
• Around the Rock Disc Golf
• Giana Sisters
• Abbigale and the Monster
• The Ball
• Stalagfight
• Puddle
• Striker Soccer
• Canabalt
• Command Crisis: Callsign (top down shooter version)
• Paper Wings
• Gamius Type IV
• iMech Online
• Rage Runner
• Beast Boxing Turbo
• Muppen64 (N64 Emulator)
• EMUya (NES Emulator)

 

There is a chance that some of these titles could be taken down between now and the launch, and again, this isn’t a full list of the available titles. However, it’s still impressive that this console is launching with such a diverse library even if they won’t be the most graphically demanding titles out there.
