Magic Pockets Developing a 3DS Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tie-In Game
In case you haven’t been seeing the teaser images and trailers, action-explosion-movie director Michael Bay has been working on a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. It will be live action, and is coming to theaters on August 8th. But don’t you want MORE? A movie is going to be great, but how about a tie-in game?
You’ll be getting your wish soon, as publisher Activison revealed that one is coming soon, and will be put out on Nintendo 3DS. It’s being developed by Magic Pockets, a studio that has had past involvement with another TMNT game that was released last year for Xbox 360, Wii, and 3DS.
This new TMNT game will have you swapping on the fly between the four turtles, and using their unique combat abilities in a hack-n-slash-esque system. The release window Activision gave was ‘later this summer’, but since it’s a tie-in game to the upcoming movie, we could speculate and pin it down to sometime in August after the 8th. Just make sure to get your pizza ready for when the game does release.
