Gran Turismo 6 to Receive Updates ‘Almost’ Every Month and No DLCs

Polyphony Digital CEO Kazunori Yamauchi has commented on the misconceptions of players expecting DLC every month for Gran Turismo 6. During a recent AMA on Reddit, Yamauchi stated that Gran Turismo 6 is not meant to get downloadable content every month, but an update ‘almost’ every month. The clarification came after players were asking the question of receiving monthly DLC cars and tracks.

Within the AMA Yamauchi tried to clear up points made by stating “I don’t think I have broken any promises, I think somewhere along the lines someone may have contorted my words.” He went on to ask for players understanding, as some may have thought a lot of content would be released and while the game has had updates, there hasn’t been much in the words of new content being added to the game.

The developer added that a major sound update will be coming to Gran Turismo 7, not 6, and that players should not expect those improvements to come with the game’s July update.
