E3 2014: Exclusive Grand Theft Auto V Content for PS4 Owners

John Koller, the Playstation marketing executive, announced in an interview with Kotaku that PS4 owners can expect some exclusive perks in their next-gen port of the award willing 2013 title announced during Sony’s press conference earlier this week. Koller went on to say, “I don’t think we announced anything publicly on that, but there will be.”

One of the best selling games of 2013 with over 33 million copies sold, GTA V launches on PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this fall, however Koller commented that GTA is a Playstation franchise, citing the series roots on the platform and its status as a key platform driver. Koller went on to say, “I think GTA V is a title that did extremely well on the Playstation 3. In fact… the index rate… (the amount of people who purchased the game on one console or another) it swung well in Playstation’s favor for GTA V, a lot of it because of the partnership we had with Rockstar.”

Aside from just graphical improvements, the next gen releases of the game will offer increased draw distances, texture enhancements, denser traffic, and higher resolutions.
