Blizzard’s Trailer Explains Updated Talent System in Heroes of the Storm

Blizzard have unveiled a new trailer for Heroes of the Storm which details the game’s revised talent system. Instead of using a universal in-game store the new system offers a unique set of talents specific to each individual warrior which Heroes of the Storm director Dustin Browder describes as, “much more interesting than any of the systems we tried before.”

“In the end, we decided that a ‘one-size-fits-all’ customization system was not the right approach for our game,” says Browder. “We could do so much more by giving players unique customization choices per hero. Imagine a hero that you can customize to get +3 attack range, or an ability on a ranged character that you can customize to do damage in an area instead of hitting a single target.”

The new system allows players to custom​ build their characters to react to their teams hero composition, the enemies they’re facing or the map they’re playing.
