At an investor conference Thursday, Disney’s Chief Financial Advisor Jay Rasulo sat down to talk about Disney’s future plans and, after investing $4 billion to acquire Lucasfilm and the “Star Wars” franchise, there is one long itinerary included.

Variety reported that Rasulo indeed confirmed that “Star Wars” would be releasing in 2015 versus the other rumors that have surfaced which basically lead to rumors of late 2015 to even early 2016. And yes, J.J. Abrams is still helming the massive installment for the big sci-fi “Star Wars” fans.

With this news, we also know that many of our favorite characters will be getting feature films based on their personal backgrounds. What character will premiere with their standalone film first? Right now, all bets are on Han Solo or Yoda. Disney will be cautious about how much they spending for each film after the poor performance of the “Lone Ranger” saying “there needs to be a cap on (budgets of) tentpole franchise movies.”

We have movies, spin-off back story features and now Disney is pushing into enhancing the “Star Wars” brand at Disney theme parks. We all know how much money these projects will make making it easier to spend for the noteworthy “Star Wars” title.

What do you think about more “Star Wars” attractions at the Disney theme parks? What character do you want to see featured in a standalone film?
