“Inside Out” Story Explored in New Trailer

Previous trailers for Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out have given us an outstanding demonstration of the central premise that everyone’s feelings are governed by a quintet of sprites each representing an aspect of our emotions, joy, fear, sadness, anger and disgust.

Now, with the latest trailer, we have an idea of what the arc of the film story will be. Apparently, sadness messes with some of Riley’s core memories and consequently gets herself and Joy lost in the deep recesses of Riley’s mind, especially long term memory. The manifestation of this looks like the emotional turmoil that all teenagers go through, overreacting to everything, soaring highs and dismal lows, and being without a real sense of emotional grounding.

It looks like it will be up to Joy, Sadness and the rest of Riley’s emotional team to fix whatever got messed up with Riley’s emotional state so that she keep growing as best she can and get along with her family.
