Online streaming is huge, with Netflix, Video on Demand, iTunes, and Amazon Instant Video to name a few; staying at home and watching new movies in the comfort of home makes it easier to catch up on the latest titles. With Disney’s “Frozen” out in digital markets today, Disney has partnered with iTunes to release a long list of films from the Disney, Pixar and Marvel collections for people to purchase from home.
The streaming service, dubbed ”Disney Movies Anywhere” includes over 400 films including “Iron Man 3,” “Mary Poppins,” “Monsters University” and “Finding Nemo.” After the company announced over a year ago that they would be shutting down Disney Movies Online, they moved to partner with one of the biggest networks for iOS and PC devices. It is unknown if there is a market for the same thing for Android users at this point.
Other studios behind the project include Lionsgate, DreamWorks Animation and HBO, along with a list of others.
