During this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, a video presentation was given teasing the 5th season of the comedy series, Community. Following the video, came Dan Harmon, the creator/executive producer for Community, rocking an Iron Man costume. Before long, he was released from his Iron Man form, and channeled down to a mere Tony Stark. Harmon spoke, and said how he had risen “like a phoenix rising from the ashes of unemployment”, and when he transformed back to Dan Harmon, he explained over a cheering crowd, how he felt an immensely great pressure to deliver a great show. Harmon then went onto explain that Season 5 will not be the final season, but the episodes featured within it will be the ‘most important’. Harmon didn’t give a whole lot of information on the episodes, but explained that the first few of Season 5 will be taking a step back, back to the ‘emotional basics’ of the show.

In an attempt to make his audience laugh, Harmon joked “Who likes their characters dimensionalized?”–thinking that they were becoming bored. To get his fans attention even more, Harmon explained that they’re going to be making an animated episode, which is supposedly going to be a sequel to Season 2′s episode, Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. When a question was asked to fans, asking what they would like to see their favorite characters do, it got Yvette Brown (Shirley Bennett’s actress) thinking.

Brown suggested that maybe fans will meet Shirley’s sister, who was only mentioned once–thinking Sherri Shepherd could play that role, since the both of them are always mistaken for one another. Stand-up comedian, Chris Hardwick, declared Community ‘the nerdiest show on television’. The Community panel at Comic-Con included: Jim Rash, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown, Ken Jeong, Gillian Jacobs, and Chris McKenna, the writer. Though no date has been set yet for Community’s return, fans can still get their fix with the reruns.

Stay tuned for more possible details coming your way!
