PSN Under Maintenance On January 27; Sign In Before To Access Features
Maintenance is a daily thing for online services, and it seems PlayStation Network will be undergoing some on January 27th, next Monday. Sony announced it on the PlayStation forums and gave us all the details we’ll need to know. If you do not log in prior to the 27th, you will have access to get into certain areas while it is down for maintenance. If you don’t log in before, access will be limited until normal operations resume.
The maintenance is going down, as mentioned, on January 27 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm Pacific Time (that’s 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm Eastern Time). As with any other period of maintenance, some online features won’t be usable and the features include: PlayStation Store, Account Management, and PlayStation Home. You’ll be able to access all the other online features, such as online gaming and using apps, but that’s only if you sign into PlayStation Network before the 27th, the day of maintenance. If you haven’t yet, and want to use your online features during this time, I’d suggest signing in soon. European PlayStation services will also be undergoing maintenance from 5:30 pm to 11:30 pm GMT, so expect it.
