G4 has announced they are putting the final nail in the coffin of the only two shows people are watching on their network. X-Play and Attack of the Show will be ceasing production by the end of 2012.

Here is what G4 said in a recent statement:

“Both shows will include original episodes through the end of the year, and will look back at their most memorable moments as we lead up to their final episodes.”

I remember the good old days of G4 when it was once all about gamers. You had shows like Filter, Cinematech, Pulse, Arena, The Electric Playground and many more. I even miss the days of waking up and watching reruns of the early 80’s game show Starcade before I headed off to work. G4 use to be something that only gamers knew about and could truly call their channel. But over time, with shows consistently disappearing and being replaced with shows like Cheaters and Cops, it’s not a surprise to see the two shows that possibly kept their original fan base happy, disappearing. Regardless, we here at All That’s Epic would like to wish everyone from the past G4 to the present G4, the best of luck in all your adventures in life. We also would like to thank you for the memories and being here for us true gamers, even when it became a few hours a day.
