Richard E. Grant is the latest classic British actor to join the enigmatic new cast of Game of Thrones Season 6. Variety has it that the actor, known for Withnail and I, Doctor Who and Downton Abbey, had Game of Thrones listed on his official talent agency’s web resume. The listing was quickly taken down. But the speed of internet shall not be denied.

Game of Thrones History: Beyond the Wall

Fans don’t have much to speculate on what role he will take in the new season. Some have said Samwell Tarly’s father, Randyll Tarly the tough, bullying, notorious soldier, although I think Ian McShane would be a more likely choice for that part.
