Michael Vartan Checks Into "Bates Motel"

Former Alias heartthrob Michael Vartan will be joining the cast of the upcoming second season of Bates Motel. After an amazingly successful first season, big plans for the new season are already in the works.

Carlton Cuse, who pens the series, spoke at Comic-Con about adding a few new faces to the series. Cuse stated, “There are some new romances as well. There’s a new romance for Norman from a character we haven’t met yet. Same for Norma. Those relationships will expand our understanding of the characters and open up White Pine Bay.”

Does this lead to Vartan playing Norma’s love interest? According to TVLine, Vartan will play George, the new love interest for Norma Bates, who is played by the lovely Vera Farmiga. There will also be a few other new cast additions announced in the coming weeks. Season 2, episode 1 of Bates Motel begins filming soon!
