Watch: Christmas Turns Scary in New ‘Krampus’ Trailer

Universal and Legendary Pictures have revealed the first trailer for their upcoming holiday release, Krampus. The film centers around the mischievous demon Krampus who, in German folklore anyway, is the equivalent of Santa’s evil twin.

The plot follows a young boy (Emjay Anthon) from a dysfunctional family who inadvertently sets Krampus free to cause holiday mayhem. All manner of hell breaks loose as beloved holiday icons take on a monstrous life of their own, laying siege to the fractured family’s home and forcing them to fight for each other if they hope to survive.

Krampus is directed by Michael Dougherty and stars Adam Scott, Toni Collette, David Koechner, Allison Tolman, Conchata Ferrell, Stefania Lavie Owen and Krista Stadler.

The horror-comedy will terrify theatergoers beginning on December 4th. Check out the trailer below!
