Turner Lands Epic ‘Star Wars’ Movie Rights Deal With Disney
Turner has sealed an epic deal with Walt Disney Studios and 20th Century Fox, giving them exclusive rights to air Star Wars films on their cable television channels. According to Variety, the $250 million agreement will give the TV network sole broadcast rights to both existing and upcoming Star Wars films.

According to the report, the first six Star Wars films will air on TNT for six consecutive nights beginning on September 20. TNT will premiere Star Wars: The Force Awakens in early 2018. The upcoming standalone film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, will arrive on the network sometime in 2019.

This deal is great news for cable watchers, who will have exclusive access to all 11 films in the Star Wars saga from the comfort of their own homes.
