Final Fantasy’s Blitzball Champion Jecht Gets Epic Cosplay
The reluctant antagonist and the father of Tidus in Final Fantasy X, Jecht is one the High Summoner Brasta’s legendary guardians as well as being a national star in the game of Blitzball in his hometown of Zanarkand. Before Jecht disappeared from the town of Zanarkand, his career hit an all time low due to his excessive alcoholism and even rumours of an apparent retirement. After he vanished, he became an idolatry figure in Zanarkand and had his face plastered on billboards and even a Blitzball tournament named after him.
When a cosplayer “genderbends” a character, it is a creative journey in which they adapt the character to fit them and still have it instantly recognizable while adding their own creative flair and stamp of quality to the cosplay. American cosplayer Byndo Gehk has done just that. She’s crafted a sexy genderbend cosplay of Final Fantasy’s Jecht that is sure to win any battles and Blitzball tournaments.
