
No Stan Lee Cameo in “Guardians of the Galaxy”



In news that will come as a huge disappointment to Stan Lee lovers everywhere, the Marvel Comics legend will not have a cameo in the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy” film.
Dweebcast recently sat down with Stan Lee, and talked about the upcoming phase two Marvel project. Lee mentioned that he will not be appearing in the film. Lee told them, “No, I’m afraid not. This is the one group I didn’t create. I didn’t write Guardians of the Galaxy. I’m not even sure who they all are. I can’t wait to see the movie.”

On the creative side, Lee was the co-creator for Groot, played by Vin Diesel in the upcoming film. Even though he won’t have a cameo in GOTG, Lee is upbeat and excited to see the film.

In the far reaches of space, an American pilot named Peter Quill finds himself the object of a manhunt after stealing an orb coveted by the villainous Ronan.
“Guardians of the Galaxy” is directed by James Gunn and stars Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Michael Rooker, Ophelia Lovibond, Benicio Del Toro, Lee Pace, Karen Gillan, Djimon Honsou, Gregg Henry, Glenn Close and John C. Reilly. The film is slated for an August 1 release!
