Sony Releases More Details About Upcoming The Last of Us ‘Left Behind’ DLC
Excitement is still in the air after the recent sneak peek trailer we were given for the upcoming The Last of Us DLC Left Behind, and as great as the very brief (but very short) trailer was, the new trailer that was released today is even better! Sony has released a nearly 3 minute trailer of the DLC was released today on the Playstation Blog alongside an in depth interview video with the actresses of the DLC, Ashley Johnson, who plays Ellie, and Yaani King, who plays Riley, along with some of TLoU crew.
The DLC will not be intensely heavy on the combat aspects, though there will be new combat features that will include stealthy actions of the girls that cause friction amongst others to ensure their own survival. Game Designer Anthony Newman says, “There’s definitely, implicitly, this stronger emphasis on exploration and non-combat gameplay. The environment that Ellie and Riley are exploring is a mall. This is kind of a playground of lost history.” This seems to be a more realistic approach to combat in the DLC, when you consider it is a prequel and Ellie has yet to develop some of the skills we see her utilize later in the game.
The Left Behind DLC will be available on February 14.
