There are many magicians in the world -- some successful and some not, but most use magic for entertainment. Zatanna Zatara, on the other hand, uses her skill for something slightly different. Daughter of the famous Giovanni Zatara, the girl grew up with magic around her, her father's passion becoming her own. Starting as an illusionist, Zatanna was unaware of her true ability until she started the search for her father. It was then that magic became more than just a passion -- and something she had in common with her father, it became a weapon. She's had interactions with Batman, who is a brief love interest for the woman before claiming the title of best friend, Robin, Green Lantern, Flash, and Catwoman -- only to name a few. The company she keeps are skilled, but perhaps she is one of the most cunning, able to manipulate situations into that of her liking.
