Even with a new “The Dawning” winter event and a sequel supposedly in the works, Bungie apparently still has plans for Destiny. In fact, according to one developer from Bungie, “Destiny is never finished.”
“We have playtests of new content to share with each other,” said David “Deej” Dague in Bungie’s weekly blog post. “Each of us has pet projects that get some love and attention when special occasions interrupt the regular flow of development.”
The important thing to keep in mind with this statement is the fact that Deej doesn’t explicitly say whether he’s referring to the original game or the series as a whole. Will these pet projects make it into this game, or will they be part of a new expansion, or even a sequel? Thankfully, we won’t have to wait very long to find out.
“hanks for playing our games, Guardians”, Deej wrote. “We’ll have more to show you next year.” Destiny is available now for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
