Blizzard Entertainment has begun working on a new secret project set in the Diablo universe. Although the developer has yet to release any new details, the company currently has several openings to assist in the secret project.
Although Blizzard has yet to officially confirm a new game, according to Blizzard’s fan-site BlizzPro, several job openings were posted on Blizzard’s Career Page. Currently, the studio is searching for a new game director. According to the description, the new game director responsibilities include “lead[ing] the Diablo series into the future” as well as the passion to “be the vision holder for the franchise.”
Alongside the search for a new game director, Blizzard is also looking to hire a software engineer, animator, senior animator, senior character artist, senior concept artist, as well as a Senior VFX artist for an “unannounced project” in the Diablo universe. Currently, there is no way to tell whether or not these opening positions are all connected to the same project. Despite this, each job is listed under the Diablo name.
