Adam Sandler in The Ridiculous 6

Ridiculous Trailer for Adam Sandler’s ‘Ridiculous 6’

After Pixels, I couldn’t possibly have any lower expectations for an Adam Sandler movie. But he’s still got a Netflix original film coming out in The Ridiculous 6. Yeah, never mind the Magnificent 7.

So it’s western parody comedy about 6 different orphans who all have the same father who put together a Robin Hood-like gang. From the trailer, it sounds like they eventually pursue a loftier, more personal goal.

The trailer wasn’t especially funny for me, plenty of slapstick and sight gags of the “Hey, look at this legit actor playing a stereotypical western stock character!” variety. Sandler’s got some impressive names packed in with the more expected gang. Steve Buscemi, Nick Nolte, Will Forte and Steve Zhan will be sharing the screen with Taylor Lautner, Terry Crews, Rob Schneider, Luke Wilson, David Spade and Norm MacDonald.

Wasn’t this the Adam Sandler movie that was making headlines a while back for having a bunch of extras walk off set for its insulting portrayal of Native Americans? Seeing the trailer, I’m not surprised.

Maybe it’ll be worth a few laughs. Check out the trailer below and see what you think. The Ridiculous 6 ride on Netflix December 11th.
