The classic 1990s television show, Saved by the Bell will be getting an unauthorized made-for-tv movie that will debut on Lifetime this Labor Day. The special will concentrate on the off-camera experiences of the stars. THR reports, “The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story promises to expose the challenges of growing up under public scrutiny while trying to maintain a squeaky clean image of their characters on- and offscreen.”

The popular series ran from 1989 to 1993 on NBC and spawned a couple of other programs, such as TV movies and a spin off, College Years.
The TV movie will star Dylan Everett as Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Sam Kindseth as Dustin Diamond, Julian Works as Mario Lopez, Alyssa Lynch as Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Tiera Skovbye as Elizabeth Berkley and Taylor Russell McKenzie as Lark Voorhies.
