Sam Smith to Perform ‘Spectre’ Title Song

The 007 movie title song has been a tradition going all the way back to Doctor No, the very first big screen James Bond film with Sean Connery. 2012’s Skyfall had quite the memorable hit title song by the same name, performed by Adele. Now, it looks like another big name in contemporary music is getting their shot with the highly-anticipated Spectre.

According to the Associated Press, Sam Smith, known for his Grammy winning album In the Lonely Hour with perform Spectre’s new title song, “Writing’s On The Wall”. It was apparently recorded back in January and Sam Smith has kept denying rumors of his performance until now.

“This is one of the highlights of my career,” said Smith. “I am honored to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song. I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations.”

Spectre, along with Smith’s “Writing’s On The Wall,” will debut in the U.S. November 6th.
