“Pixels” Trailer Visually Nails Its Concept
Well, we can say one thing for sure about the Pixels movie based on its trailer, it’s totally committed to its distinct (sigh) pixelated look.
The feature film budget really does go a long way into bringing colossal versions of classic video arcade characters, pixels and all, to life in the real world.
The trailer includes titles that set up the premise; “In 1982 NASA sent a time capsule into space in hopes of contacting other life forms. Included were examples of our life and culture. It was intended to be a message of peace. Unfortunately it was taken the wrong way.”
Pac-Man seems to be the main antagonist as Adam Sandler, Josh Gad, Peter Dinklage, Kevin James and Jane Krakowski become a ghostbuster style anti-video game team to deal with the threat.
Why did they have to make Professor Iwatani’s cameo completely predictable? Why?!
