Being able to turn back the tide of battle when you’re busy getting your teeth kicked in is a vital ability in any fighting game, and that’s exactly what Tekken 7 is doing with the new Rage Attack mechanic introduced in the latest trailer for Tekken 7: Fated Retribution, the newest expansion headed to Japanese arcades. While no console port has been released just yet, the new mechanic lets characters enter a rage state, boosting their attacks with a number of new properties and applications, sure to help take off the pressure when the round is hitting its final moments, allowing for well timed upsets and breaks that just might make a winner into a loser if they aren’t careful and vice versa.
Tekken 7 can be found in Japanese arcades, but while a release date is still up in the air, Bandai Namco has announced that it is in development for PlayStation 4. Whenever the game does happen to make its way to consoles, it’s likely that this feature will come over as well, so check out the trailer below to see it in action.
