Microsoft and The Coalition have released a brand new trailer for Gears of War 4. Focusing mainly on Marcus Fenix, the protagonist of the original games, the trailer details the new threat that both Marcus and his son must now face.
After the events of Gears of War 3, the Locust invasion was stopped, and the world was finally at peace. But 25 years later, that peace was broken by an unknown enemy, and now it’s up to Marcus and his son JD to wear the COG armor once again and save the world from this brand new threat. In addition to going over the game’s story, the trailer (which you can check out below) also briefly shows some of the new threats JD and his friends will face throughout their journey, all while a cover of Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” by Lissie plays in the background.
Gears of War 4 launches on October 11th for the Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs. If you purchase the $100 Ultimate Edition however, you’ll get to play the game four days earlier.
