You Must Now Link A Steam Account To Upload Fallout 4 Mods On Consoles

Last month, Bethesda successfully gave Xbox One owners the opportunity to join the modding community in Fallout 4. Recently the developer revealed some modifications for consoles owners who wish to share their own mods within the community.

Despite the success of the first wave of console mods hitting the scene, several members of the community have abused the modding mechanics that Bethesda has implemented for Fallout 4. According to reports, some members of the console mod community have been re-uploading PC mods from websites like Nexus Mods and calling them their own. In order to combat this issue, Bethesda has made it their mission to crackdown on this practice, the company is currently working to create a multi-pronged solution, which will include a Steam account as well as authenticating Bethesda.net accounts.

Hopefully, Bethesda’s upcoming solution will be a success, so that console owners can receive more upcoming free console mods in future Bethesda titles. Currently, Fallout 4 mods are Mods are available on PC and Xbox One, with PlayStation 4 hitting the scene some time later this month.
