Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark Officially Confirmed!
After a revealing retail leak late last week, Activision and Hasbro have officially announced the newest Transformers game, Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark! Examiner.com caught up with a representative from Activision, who shared a few tidbits about the game at a Hasbro preview event at the New York Toy Fair.
According to the representative, the new game will combine the established Transformers universes of the Michael Bay Movies and previous titles from High Moon Studios. Players can choose to play the single player campaign with either Autobots or Decepticons, and the multiplayer Extinction mode can host up to 40 players at a time.
The game is being developed by Edge of Reality, with the acceptation of the 3DS version, which will be released by Way Forward. The 3DS version of the game will be entirely different from the other console releases as a strategy RPG.
Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will be releasing sometime later this year for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, Wii U, PC, and Nintendo 3DS. Check out this awesome announcement trailer for the game below!
