Titanfall 2’s Next Free DLC Revealed

Titanfall 2 is getting even more free DLC. And not only are players getting two new maps, but also a new mode as well.

Let’s start with the new mode first. Called Live Fire, the mode is a six-on-six best of five mode where each team has one minute to defeat the opposing team. What’s the catch? There’s no respawns during that one minute, so if you die, you’re out for rest of the match. Defeating the other team entirely will warrant a win, but holding onto a neutral flag for the full one minute will also secure victory as well; Respawn promises that mode bring “competitive, close quarter combat to the forefront.”

The two maps that are also included are designed specifically with Live Fire in mind, and are called Stacks and Meadow; Stacks taking place in a shipping yard with stacks of crates, and Meadow takes place in a giant……..meadow. Besides these two maps, players can also get a new Coliseum arena, a new Pilot execution, and new Faction intros. The team is working on improving the user interface, which will allow players to create their own Mixtape playlist of modes, but there’s no word on whether that will be in the next update.

Titanfall 2 is available now for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
