Pac-Man Joins the Super Smash Bros. Line-Up

Breaking Super Smash Bros news happened at an E3 developer roundtable earlier today. Director Masahiro Sakurai released to the public that the famous 80s munching menace would now be a playable character in the up and coming Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS.

Apparently the famous character will mostly be viewed in his 3D form, but for some moves he will revert to the original 2D for some special attacks. And speaking of attacks, a Tweet from Nintendo of America reveals that Pac-Man’s abilities are both funny and interesting, including throwing fruit or eating power pellets.

Mr. Game & Watch is also a character that seems to be teased to the public as possibly a playable character, similar to when he first appeared in Super Smash Bros Melee. However, he was only seen in a teaser and has not been officially confirmed. Either way Pac-Man is now an official playable character.
