Metal Gear Solid 4 finally getting Trophies!

It’s a very long time coming, but it’s official that Metal Gear Solid 4 is finally getting Trophies. Konami confirmed via it’s Twitter account that they are in fact working on getting Trophies into the game along with releasing a budget version of the game sometime later this year. If you still have that copy of Metal Gear Solid 4 sitting on your shelf, don’t worry because they will be patching past versions of the game with trophies when they launch the budget version.

Trophy support for PlayStation 3 games was not mandatory until 2009, and because Metal Gear 4 released in 2008, Konami had no obligation to patch the title. However, it is a feature fans have requested for the past four years, but it’s finally coming!
