Sony’s trademark 2010 spectacle fighter God of War III will be getting a remaster for the PS4, marking the first entry in the series on PS4. Sony confirmed that the game will be aiming for 1080p 60 fps. Details are pretty sparse but Sony has released a handful of screenshots and some gameplay.

They also confirmed that the game will be available on July 14th for $40. It will also include a photo mode, similar to the feature seen in The Last of Us Remastered. Sony Santa Monica also revealed some never before seen God of War concept art during a livestream of the game. You can check out the trailer and gallery of screenshots below. I think fans would be more excited to see a new entry in the series, but it seems that it’s taken Kratos everywhere he can go so short of focusing on a new character I can’t see much that a new entry would bring to the table. Either way a spruced up version of one of the best games in the series is pretty cool.
