E3 2014: Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire has New Evolutions
During the Nintendo Direct press conference this morning at E3, a new trailer was released for the upcoming 3DS titles Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Taking lessons from Pokémon X & Pokemon Y, these titles are remakes of the original Ruby and Sapphire games originally released for Gameboy Advance back in 2003. In addition to a fully 3D graphics overhaul, new features such as Mega-Evolution will be making their return as each of the starters, as well as the iconic legendary Pokemon Groudon and Kyogre.
While mega-evolution is nothing new since X & Pokemon Y, the next levels for Groudon and Kyogre are being touted as Ancient Devolution, with the two taking the forms of Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon. What will this mean for the stories of Ruby and Sapphire? With many advancements made since the GameBoy Advanced days, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are shaping up to be a great revisit to the Hoenn region. Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are set for release on the Nintendo 3DS on November 21, later this year.
