It’s been over 20 years since the last ‘Bill and Ted’ movie, but Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are ready to team up once again for Bill And Ted 3. Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) will direct, with filming expected to begin in the spring after Parisot wraps up work on Red 2.
Vulture reports that creators Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson have already written the script, which addresses where Bill and Ted are in their lives today. Both Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter have both reportedly approved the plot.
Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, released in 1989, was the first film in the Bill and Ted franchise. It focuses on two metalhead slackers who travel through time via a phone booth to assemble a menagerie of historical figures for their high school history presentation. In the 1991 sequel, Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey, a tyrant from the future creates evil android doubles of Bill and Ted and sends them back to eliminate the originals.
